This past Friday, Jack Dorsey's Twitter account was hacked there at 9:45pm Spanish time.
For 20 minutes, some 20 messages with racist, offensive and anti-Semitic content were posted.
It didn't take long for them to restore the account and announce that it had been compromised by a group of hackers.
The self-styled "The Chuckling Squad" set off all the alarms on the Twitter network. If their president's account had been compromised, to what extent the accounts of users of this social network had been exposed.
It seems that the method used to hack into Dorsey's account was the so-called "SIM Swapping", an extremely simple way of interpreting the attack.
An hour later they confirmed that all this was caused by the carelessness of a mobile phone operator. The technique was to convince the operator, for example, by telling her that your current SIM had been lost and that you wanted to assign a new SIM to your phone number.
By getting this, you'd be getting the credentials to perform the impersonation.
